The Japanese tea ceremony is called Chanoyu, Sado or simply Ocha in Japanese. During a choreographed ritual, the Japanese green tea, called Matcha, is prepared and served along with traditional Japanese sweets to balance out the bitter taste of the tea. The ceremony is not so much about drinking tea, but about the aesthetics, preparing a cup of tea from your heart. The host of the ceremony is mindful of his guests with every move and gesture.
