Houjicha means roasted green tea. The tea leaves are roasted at a high temperature, making the leaves red-brown in color. This lattice technique originated in Kyoto around 1920.
This tea therefore has a warm scent of roasted tea leaves. It has a tad caramel aromatic smell. Nice in a cold autumn weather, or after a hot meal.
The tea is packed in 20 bags of 2 grams.
